                 The "Ley's Tees" Story

I began tie-dying in college in the '80's and recently picked it up again to make special, interesting, one-of-a-kind clothing for my daughters.  My twin girls were born 13 weeks early with many health issues so I couldn't return to work as a teacher because the girls could not go into day care.  Unfortunately, my daughter Mikaylah was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and requires intensive therapy as often as four times a week, which also prevents me from being able to return to teaching.  So many people complimented me on my twin daughters' tie-dye, asked me where I got them, told me I should sell them, that I decided to start a business selling tie-dyes as a way to have a litte extra income as well as a creative outlet.  I started out only doing baby clothes, but have added adult clothing as well.

Many people tell me their tie-dye stories, how the tried it at camp, or a party, or at home, and tell me turned out yucky.  I pretty much always say the same thing, "it is really easy to make bad tie-dye."  Making bright colors that look good, don't fade, and don't turn into muck is much harder, more time consuming, and involves a lot more steps and chemical processes than most people realize.

I am proud to offer you the highest quality hand-dyed or painted, one-of-a-kind clothing shipped to you direct.

Boutique-quality designed, dyed in vibrant tie dye colors or pastels. 100% baby rib cotton, combed for softness and comfort.

All clothing is dyed to order by hand using professional procion mx dyes. Allow time for design, fabrication, and delivery. Custom names and designs can be painted on with fabric paint or with dye to fade organically with the clothing.

A shopping site has been added with currently available items.  Please click on the shopping bear to go to the shopping site.  If you would like to custom order, please click on the "How Do I Order" button.
